Optional. When set, the ab_user_id cookie expires exactly when the experiment ends (start + duration), so a user who first visits 10 days into a 30-day run gets a 20-day cookie. Leave empty to give every user the full duration from their first visit.
Experiment duration in days; the cookie never outlives the experiment. A long-lived cookie weakens the “functional/strictly necessary” consent argument. 0 = session-only (no persistent cookie, but variant stability resets each session). Default: 365.
